Snack Bar

The snack bar is a profit venture for the Carlsbad Softball Association and helps to insure that we receive appropriate funds required to keep the league operational each year.

Every parent is responsible for working one shift of approximately two (2) hours each for every child registered in the league.  If you wish to have a family member or friend work your shift for you, the person must be at least 16 years of age.  Because of liability issues, children are not allowed in the Snack Bar during shifts.  Please make arrangements for your children if your are working in the Snack Bar.

Every family is required to give a snack bar deposit in the form of a check written for $100.00 and made out to CSA.  The check will not be cashed, unless you do not show for your scheduled snack bar duty.

Schedule Times:

We request that parents show up 15 minutes early for all shifts to insure a smooth turnover to staff.  Your promptness is necessary to insure we have appropriate resource to staff the snack bar.  Please be on time!

Please note: A Board Member will be responsible for unlocking/locking the snack bar each day.

Snack Bar Rules:

  1. ALL food must be paid for.   There are NO free drinks or food to anyone whether your are worker, manager or board member ONLY EXCEPTION IS THE UMPIRE. THEY ARE ALLOWED FREE FOOD AND DRINK.
  2. NO children under the age of 16 are allowed in the snack bar at any time.  This rule will be strictly enforced because it is both a safety issue and a requirement of our insurance.
  3. Every volunteer is responsible for keeping the supply of food paper goods full during the shift.  This includes: filling up the condiment containers; re-stocking napkins, coffee supplies, etc.
  4. Everyone is responsible for cleaning up after him or herself.
  5. The snack bar must be opened and staffed according to the schedules.
  6. Directions to preparing everything are posted in the snack bar.  Please be sure to read them.
  7. Trash cans must be emptied at the end of each shift and taken to the dumpster in the parking lot.
  8. If you are working a night game, please be sure to have a male father or coach walk the woman to the cars - no one should be left by them self in the snack bar.
