The Carlsbad Softball Association relies on volunteers to maintain the high quality standards of all our softball programs and events. We are currently recruiting for Board positions for the 2010/2011 calendar year, job responsibilities for each
open position can be found on the CSA website at

If you are interested in filling one of these positions, please submit a letter of interest to Carlsbadsoftball@yahoo.com by August 13th. Some positions require extensive commitment, but for others the time commitment is seasonal, or just a few hours per week.

The 10U Gold "Dirty Dozen" continued their winning ways by winning the North County District tournament at San Marcos this past weekend by winning all five games they played. This team won the second North San Diego District championship in CSA history and the first since CSA went to the "B" level in 2008. The tournament was highlighted by a come from behind 5-4 win over North Shore on Saturday with Samantha Lauro hitting a walk-off single by knocking in the game tying and winning RBI's. Carlsbad won the tournament by beating Rancho Bernardo with great pitching, clutch hitting and stellar defense.
Winning the District tournament qualifies the 10U Gold team to advance to the "B" Level State Championship tournament in Lancaster on July 9-11.
GO "Dirty Dozen"!!!
 Peninsula Cool Breeze Champions Congratulations to the 8U Silver team - 1st Place in the Peninsula "Cool Breeze" tournament. Another great tournament for our girls who all played extremely well this weekend. 5 of our 7 teams reached the semifinals in bracket play with 8U Silver and 10U Gold winning the championship. Go CBad!!!!
 After being runner's up at both Riptide and Seabreeze the Carlsbad 10U Gold
all-stars finally broke through and won the Peninsula Cool Breeze tournament the weekend of June 11-13. After dropping Friday night's game to Peninsula the "Dirty Dozen" fought back and won the next four games and got revenge with a 4-1 win over Peninsula in Sunday's championship game. A highlight of the game was Breanna Mack's two run over-the-fence home run. The entire team played well to seal the victory.

Carlsbad Softball Association takes pride in the fact that we offer recreational and competitive softball in a safe, friendly and fun environment. Providing a well rounded softball (and life) experience to girls between the ages of 4 and 16, CSA has adopted the motto “It’s ALL about the GIRLS”, which is our constant reminder of who the most important people in our league truly are.
By keeping our teams small we allow girls to get a maximum amount of playing time, and our Advanced Placement program allows certain girls to challenge their abilities by playing in a higher division. Through our Carlsbad Commitment program we work to teach our children important values and life lessons revolving around the traits of Character, Attitude, Respect, Leadership, Behavior, Action, and Determination (CARLSBAD). With the combined effort of our many outstanding Board members, managers, coaches, team parents and parent volunteers, CSA has developed into one of the finest softball programs in North County San Diego.
