Competitive Play

How can we sign up?

Completing the Player Intent form puts your player in consideration, however signing up is not a guarantee your player will make one of the available teams.

What time commitment is involved?

Teams practice significantly more than regular season teams. Expect daily practices in the two weeks leading up to the first tournament. Once tournaments begin, games could be played as early as Thursday evenings and extend to Sunday if the team is winning.

How is IT different from SPRING?

All-Stars is a much more intensive level of play. We will be playing teams from all over Southern California which are made up of incredibly talented players. Each game is challenging with excellent pitching and fielding as the norm. So, whereas all girls are guaranteed play time during the regular season, the same promise does not exist for All-Stars. The managers and coaches will play the best player at each position so some girls might not get the same playing time as they were guaranteed during regular season.

What are SOME benefits?

Your player will experience a high intensity season with the same group of girls. The camaraderie and team-spirit this breeds is second to none. In addition, your player’s skills will greatly improve. The amount of time she will spend practicing and playing will quickly yield results in her overall softball abilities. With high-level coaching and a higher caliber of playing, each girl can expect to see major improvements in her abilities.

Managing an All-Star Team

Please fill out the Manager Application if you wish to be considered for a manager position with a Carlsbad Softball Association All-Star team.

Interviews with the Board of Directors are mandatory.

All-Star managers are required to complete ACE Education, SafeSport Training, and Concussion Training.

Anyone involved with CSA may submit an All-Star Manager Application to be considered for All-Star Manager.
