|FALL SEASON (2020)|
The fall season is a great opportunity for players to continue to build on skills and experiences from the prior spring season as well as a great way to gain exposure for the girls who will be moving up to the next division. Moving up divisions typically involves a larger ball and further pitching distance. While there is significant focus on fundamental skills, the season remains competitive when playing with other North County League teams.
CSA is forming 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U teams.
*Based on interest and field availability, we may be able to place your 6U player on a Fall Team. If you have a 6U player (born 2014 or 2015) who is interested in playing Fall Ball, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by August 11 with your daughter's name, birth year, and your interest in having her play in the fall.
The fall season will cost $140.00 per player. There is a $10.00 sibling discount. The cost includes a jersey and socks as well as umpire fees, and practice field lights.
At this time it is uncertain whether state and county safety guidelines will allow competitive game play. We will have games if we are permitted to do so.
Historically, CSA participates in the North County Winterball League. This league schedules double-header games each SUNDAY throughout the fall season.
Half of the fall games will be schedule at our home fields located at Calavera Community Park. The other half of the games will be schedule throughout San Diego County. HALF OF THE FALL SEASON GAMES WILL BE "TRAVEL" EVENTS AND NOT HOSTED AT CALAVERA.
CSA follows the safety guidelines for youth sports mandated by the State of California, San Diego County, and the City of Carlsbad. Changes to current guidelines in response to COVID-19 spread/outbreaks may occur.
If state/county/city guidelines require more strict conditions, such as the institution of a stay-at-home order, and softball practices are unable to occur, CSA will consider pro-rated refunds for Fall Ball fees based on incurred expenses (such as uniforms, umpire fees, lights, etc.) and the length of time we were able to have practices and/or games.
At this time, COVID safety waivers and safety protocols will need to be signed for your player(s) to participate in Fall Ball.
Practices will begin around August 24. Managers will be in touch with players for an exact first practice date.
If games can be safely played those may begin in early September.
*All dates are tentative and may change due to COVID-19*

November 7-8 — Sunset Classic Tournament
Carlsbad 14U — 2018 Fall Tournament Champions!
At the end of the fall season, CSA hosts the Sunset Classic Tournament. This tournament is reliant on PARENT VOLUNTEERS to help staff the tournament. Parents will be required to help with volunteer shifts for each player registered.
CSA hopes to host this tournament in November. However, if safety guidelines do not permit competitive play, this yearly tournament will be cancelled.
